We got up early this morning to get ready for our helicopter ride over the Grand Canyon.  Judy was outside when she opened the door, told me to grab my camera and come outside.  There were two bull elk walking around the RV park, grazing on the grass.  What a thrill to see them up close!

This guy didn't speak english and had NO CLUE what kind of danger he was putting himself in.  These are WILD animals and not pets.  He followed them around the campground and finally, one of the elk gave him a "warning charge."  The guy still didn't get it and didn't leave the elk alone until several people yelled at him and motioned for him to get away from them.  One gal was using her phone to video him with the elk...I think she MAY have been disappointed they didn't do a full out charge on him!  It was scary to watch him get so close and annoy the elk!

After that excitment, we left for our helicopter ride over the
Grand Canyon.  I can tell you all the beautiful photos you see of
the Grand Canyon are either taken at dawn or dusk when the sun is shining at great angles on the walls of the canyon.  Other-wise, it's majestic  to see but not the glorious colors!

  2. Oh My Gosh!!! I can't believe how that man got that close! That was always happening up in AK with the moose. People had the idea they were domesticated or something!!
I had a friend from MO that bragged about feeding a moose when he was in Yellowstone Nt. Pk.!! Steve and I had a hissy fit, and he couldn't figure it out :-\

Glad you and Judy enjoyed your heli ride. Had you ever been in an helicopter before?
