We are in a town that literally rolls up it's sidewalks today and will roll them out again Jan. 1, 2013. It must be nice to have a job that lasts for three months a year! We went into the bakery today and it's probably a good thing it is closing. Their bakery items melt in your mouth and would land on our hips I'm sure!
Here is an interesting bit of history about the US Army Camel Corps.....yep, I'm serious...there WAS such a thing!

This little guy landed on our RV and kept me company while I sat outside with the girls. There are a lot of young doves in the park.
Across the road from the entrance to our RV park.........this town has humor if nothing else!
This is where we are staying in Quartzsite. When the wind blows, you get dust on everything!
They do have a very nice RV wash station (free which is always good) so we were able to clean up the RV from all the road grime we accumulated on our trip down here.
Someone was sad to see us go.
How are you finding the price of gas affecting your travels? We are at $3.79 right now. I know it will go up as Memorial Day gets closer. :-(
