Today we drove up to Page, AZ where we spent four days. We stayed at a RV park located at Lake Powell in the Glen Canyon Recreation Area. It is a beautiful area but I was very surprised at how many foreign visitors were there; not Asian but German and Scandinavian. How do they decide to visit Lake Powell?? I taught one guy how to use the washers and dryers........that was fun with our language barrier but we managed to get his laundry clean!
Bunny tracks and lizard tail tracks
This Jack Rabbit was behind our RV; I tried to get him to let me get a photo of him from the front but he said.......
......NO WAY
We drove to Lee's Ferry to see that area and some of the Vermillion Cliffs.
Lees Ferry is the only place within Glen Canyon where visitors can drive to the Colorado River in over 700 miles of Canyon Country, right up to the first "rapid" in the Grand Canyon. A natural corridor between Utah and Arizona, Lees Ferry figured prominently in the exploration and settlement of Northern Arizona.
We stopped by the Colorado River and I stuck my feet in the water. Because it was so hot out, I thought the water would be warm......WRONG...........COLD!!
My sandals leave an interesting pattern on my feet!
