October 10, 2011 ~ Monday

We are at the beautiful Verde Valley Thousand Trails, just outside Cottonwood, AZ, which is near Sedona.

We arrived on Friday and spent a quiet weekend, just relaxing and letting Judy rest her tired body.  The girls love it here, there is REAL grass for them to go potty on!  What a treat in AZ.  The air isn't so dry so I'm not as "shocking" as I was in Tucson which makes ME happy!

I'm sitting in a beautiful lodge by the pool; a little chilly yet this am or I would be outside, enjoying the shade by the pool.  I will take more photos and post them soon.  My camera battery decided to die yesterday so I had to charge it up again.

We had a very uneventful trip up here which is always a blessing.

Judy's Dad is doing a bit better and at home now.  It appears one of her neices from NC will arrive the end of the month and stay with him through December, taking care of him, the house and the cat.  If THAT works out, it will certainly free up Judy and I to travel more and see more of the south this winter.

Judy's Dad's house is offically on the market now.  THAT was long time coming and it's good to have it listed.  Judy worked so hard getting it ready and really paid the price with extra pain nearly every day.

I think we are going to explore Jerome, AZ today.  I will take lots of pictures to share with you.

  2. It's so beautiful there-glad you are enjoying it!(and the puppies too. I remember one winter where we had snow on the ground the whole time, Jazz was so excited when she found a little patch of melted snow-she was so cute about it). Hope you continue to enjoy your trip!
